Kirk Jakubowski is a highly accomplished professional in the Instrumentation, Electrical, and Automation (IEA) fields, boasting over 25 years of experience. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated excellence, innovation, and leadership in various industrial environments, including wood, oil and gas, food and beverage, and chemical industries.

His professional journey began in 1995 when he enrolled in the Instrumentation Engineering Technologist program at SIAST Palliser Campus. Since then, Kirk has been instrumental in the start-up and commissioning of three industrial facilities, managed million-dollar projects, and holds Interprovincial Journeyperson status as an Industrial Instrument Mechanic and an Industrial Electrician.

Key achievements in his career include spearheading a $2 million project to convert a legacy DCS system, providing expert guidance to chemical plants, and introducing a Model Predictive Control System to an ethanol plant, resulting in significant cost savings.

Kirk’s areas of expertise encompass programming automation and control systems, cybersecurity of Operational Technology, networking and communication protocols of OT systems, and troubleshooting complex Electrical, Instrumentation, and Automation problems.
